From the grease marks in the pizza box it looks like that was a round pizza cut in a square grid pattern

You know how theres restaurants that say “no substitutions, please”. The menus at steak places should just say “no burnt steaks, please”. At least shame people for it! Medium is burnt by my taste, but I can understand medium well as a far extreme if you really just want to eat char and thats how you like it. But well done? Might as well go to dennys to order that..

Like that weird St Louis style stuff? That’s no excuse for l eaving perfectly good toppings and grabbing another piece, unless it’s your goal to piss off somebody.

Proof that money can’t buy style, sophistication or class. Might as well smother it in ketchup...

Every single of those steak orderers better be a pregnant woman or something.

Not gonna lie, if I get wings (which is infrequent , because of my next statement), I eat them like that. Shit gets too weird any closer to the knuckle.

Those poor cows are already dead; there’s no need to torture them.

if the meat is still bleeding you just as well go into the field the cow is in and just start taking bites out of it there

At least the people who ruined the beef ate it. The wings thing is a crime against humanity.

Oh yeah I’m not excusing the waste, I’m just perplexed by the slicing. Is that how they do it in St Louis?

Yeah, that’s a common cut on St Louis style pizza, which had been described as Velveeta on a cracker. Weird stuff. It uses a strange process cheese, something I can’t stand as a lover of fine cheese, called Provel. Look it up - you’ll be doubly disgusted.

Butchered meat contains no blood and cannot bleed.

It’s called tavern cut, and it's common across the Midwest, including Chicago.

I've definitely wondered what that would be like, I bet it would be delicious if you salted it a bit. Probably not any less humane than how cows are treated in general. Perhaps people would eat less meat if they had to physically attack the animals themselves?

One of the (many) nice things about sous vide cooking a steak is you can generally skip the resting period since the interior of the steak will be totally uniform temperature already.

Well it was just an anecdote for me, I don’t eat it, I like animals a lot and the things they do to them are really horrible. After bein g in combat I just see it all as barbaric.

I think that’s a good take. I still eat meat from time to time, but I’m tr o ubled by it, and generally only eat meat when I’m getting food from a restaurant or making something fancy. That’s probably weak willed and hypocritical, but if we say that eating meat is problematic, eating less must be an improvement if nothing else.

I've always heard it called square cut. But yeah, very common. It makes eating a thin pizza way easier.
